- Google Classroom is a free collaboration tool for teachers and students.
- Google Classroom was announced on May 6, 2014, with a preview available for some members of Google's G Suite for Education program. It was released publicly on August 12, 2014.
- Teachers can create an online classroom, invite students to the class then create and distribute assignments.
- Within the Google Classroom students and teachers can have conversations about the assignments and teachers can track the student's progress. Schools must register for a free Google Apps for Education account to use Classroom.
